And when we watch our satellites launch, we know each one of us made it happen.We are seeking a Material Planner will take the lead in assessing, reviewing, and supporting the requirements on assigned assemblies for on time delivery per released and pre-released engineering as captured and displayed by an ERP/MRP system. This is an onsite role in El Segundo, California.This position's internal job is Supply Chain Mgmt Analyst. Our team is currently hiring for levels 2 and 3.Position Responsibilities:Engage in effective communication with engineering, management, program control, IMS schedulers, quality and all relevant parties that contribute to the successful completion of assigned assembliesRead/interpret/analyze blueprints as well as understand the rudimentary process of how drawings get released and migrate into an ERP/MRP system for the systematic communication of hard requirementsPerform systematic assessment and understand MRP, how and why it functions, understanding the interdependencies of the data that contributes to the successful and effective running of the MRP processHave intimate knowledge regarding material requirements, consumables, spares, attrition, yield, lead times, quality flags and all data sets that are relevant to the successful execution of buy and make action messages within a production platformAnalytical in nature with an ability to ask questions that aren’t readily obvious, ability to acknowledge and ask for reports that currently don’t exist and communicate the inherent value in asking for the needed dataManage and dictate the flow of work for assigned assemblies through a systematic ERP/MRP system platformManage Costpoint MO’s and Jira work orders per signals generated via an MRP rich processPartner with the Program Scheduler, Manufacturing Engineers and Manufacturing Teams to attain and maintain ECD’sRelease action messages in Costpoint for the buying team to turn into PO’sContribute to organic organizational growth by cultivating and developing material management best practicesValidate engineering bills of material and assist in the conversion of eBOM’s into mBOM’s for proper systematic forecasting of needed quantities for duration of product life cycleCommunicate status of materials, work orders, and purchase orders to stakeholdersResolve supply issues to meet demand by working with cross functional teamsBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of experience working in a supply chain, production, or engineering function4+ years' of experience in material planning, including inventory management, supply chain coordination, and production scheduling to ensure efficient and timely operationsERP and MRP experienceConflict of Interest:Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is a Drug Free Workplace (DFW) where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Total Rewards: At Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
