Job Title: CMM ProgrammerLocation: Dayton, OHIndustry: Aerospace / Precision ManufacturingEmployment Type: Full-TimePosition SummaryA growing precision manufacturing organization in the Dayton, OH area is seeking a skilled CMM Programmer to support quality and inspection operations. This role is responsible for developing CMM programs, performing inspections, and supporting quality documentation processes including PPAP and FAI.This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate looking for long-term career growth within a high-quality, technology-driven manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain CMM programs using CAD models and/or blueprintsPerform first article, in-process, and final inspectionsGenerate and maintain inspection reports and documentationPrepare data for PPAP and FAI submissionsConduct gauge studies (GR&R) and support Control Plan developmentAssist with root cause analysis and corrective actionsPerform incoming inspections as requiredCollaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure quality standards are metSupport training and development of less experienced team membersQualificationsExperience with CMM programming and inspection processesFamiliarity with CMM software (Mitutoyo Mcosmos preferred)Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Proficiency with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, comparators, Faro Arm, etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsWorking knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards preferredExperience with APQP processes is a plusProficient computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)Ability to work independently with minimal supervisionEducation & ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent requiredExperience in manufacturing, aerospace, or quality inspection environment preferredBlueprint reading experience requiredPhysical RequirementsFrequent standing and walkingAbility to lift up to 40 lbs occasionallyClose and color vision requiredSchedule1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (overtime as needed)Compensation & BenefitsPay based on experienceComprehensive benefits package availableOpportunities for growth and advancementRequirementsQualifications: Strong knowledge of CMM measuring devices and software. Preferred experience with Mitutoyo Mcosmos. Able to work with minimum supervision. Other tools for measurement such as, but not limited to, mics, calipers, surface testers,height gauges, plug gauges, comparator, indicator, and Faro Arm. Understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance desirable. Actively participate in APQP Process especially in gauge and fixture design. Perform required incoming inspections. Proficient computer skills (Microsoft, Word, Excel, Outlook). Any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent degree. Basic knowledge in AS9100 and ISO9001 standards is recommended CMM knowledge 1-3 years blueprint reading preferred. Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electricalinstruments and functional gauges. Knowledge and understanding of GD&T.
