Description Conflicts Attorney (Chicago Loop u2013 Hybrid) A respected, mid-to-large law firm is seeking a Conflicts Attorney to join its Conflicts team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented attorney who enjoys collaborative work, high-volume analysis, and ensuring compliance with responsibility and legal ethics standards in a sophisticated law firm environment. Under the direction of Conflicts Counsel, this attorney will manage all aspects of the conflicts process, including new business intake and lateral attorney matters, while partnering closely with firm attorneys, the General Counselu2019s office, and the broader conflicts team. Key Responsibilities: + Review, analyze, and clearly articulate conflicts search results for new matters and lateral attorneys + Identify potential ethical conflicts and business issues and advise on appropriate resolution strategies + Collaborate with Conflicts Counsel, General Counsel, attorneys, and conflicts team members to resolve conflicts efficiently + Support lateral attorney integration, including drafting engagement letters and conflict waivers + Draft and distribute ethical screen memoranda and establish/manage ethical walls using firm software + Identify opportunities to streamline conflicts processes to reduce risk and improve efficiency + Assist with training and development of conflicts department staff + Participate in large-scale review and clean-up of client/matter data and conflicts databases + Provide responsive, high-level customer service to attorneys and legal support staff + Travel to firm offices within the U.S. as needed Requirements Qualifications: + Juris Doctor required + 2+ years of experience in a conflicts department at a mid- to large-sized law firm + Strong working knowledge of legal ethics and responsibility rules related to conflicts + Intapp experience strongly preferred + Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-volume environment + Excellent judgment, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex issues clearly + Proven ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented environment + Exceptional attention to detail and adaptability to changing workflows Compensation & Benefits: + Competitive base salary ($130Ku2013$150K) + Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance + Life and disability coverage + 401(k) with firm match + Generous paid parental leave + Backup childcare and eldercare benefits + PTO and firm-recognized holidays + Potential bonus based on firm performance + Strong emphasis on work-life balance and employee wellbeing + Very flexible WFH Our specialized recruiting professionals apply their expertise and utilize our proprietary AI to find you great job and candidate matches faster.
