Lead Electrical Designer

Lead Electrical Designer u2013 Advanced Power Generation (APG) This opportunity supports a large, well-established EPC firm within the Power Providers Market Sector, focused on Advanced Power Generation (APG) projects that deliver critical energy infrastructure. Role Overview + Collaborate with multidisciplinary project teams supporting APG facilities + Contribute to power systems design, including electrical infrastructure supporting generation assets + Play a key role in developing high-quality 2D and 3D engineering deliverables Technical Focus + Electrical design scope includes: + Duct bank design + Cable tray design + Grounding systems + Lighting and other supporting electrical systems + Create and modify design drawings using Bentley MicroStation and other Bentley tools + AGI32 experience preferred for lighting design and illumination calculations + Apply advanced electrical engineering principles under minimal supervision + Maintain strong awareness of project budgets and schedules Lead & Design Responsibilities + Function as a lead technician, technical design specialist, and/or supervisor + Apply advanced expertise to solve complex design challenges + Ensure technical quality, schedule adherence, and budget compliance + Establish, communicate, and enforce design and graphic standards + Review project requirements, design inputs, and deliverables for consistency and compliance + Coordinate and integrate design efforts across disciplines + Guide and mentor engineering technicians and support staff as applicable Qualifications + Associate Degree in Drafting or Engineering Designu2013related technology (required) + Bacheloru2019s Degree in Engineering Designu2013related technology (preferred) + Typically 10+ years of relevant industry experience + Power generation design experience required + Ability to complete standard pre-employment onboarding requirements Culture & Team Environment The team values collaboration, technical excellence, and shared accountability.
