Job Description Location: Chicago, Illinois Business Unit: Rush Medical Center Hospital: Rush University Medical Center and South Loop Department: Breast Imaging Technical Work Type: Full Time (Total FTE 1.0) Shift: Shift 1 Work Schedule: 10 Hr (6:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Sign-on Bonus: $12,500; Relocation up to $5,000 Rush offers exceptional rewards and benefits learn more at our Rush benefits page ( Pay Range: $32.00 - $52.08 per hour Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. Summary: Produces high quality breast images for interpretation in an efficient and cost-effective manner. Other information: Required Job Qualifications: u2022 Formal training in an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. u2022 Valid Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety license. u2022 Registry or Registry-eligible with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. u2022 Proficient in modality physics and operation of equipment. u2022 Knowledge of human anatomy, pathology and physiology. u2022 Demonstrates good interpersonal and communication skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. u2022 Requires full body range of motion including handling and lifting patients when necessary. u2022 Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Responsibilities: 1. Provides quality patient care as defined by departmental and age specific standards of care. 2. Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality. 3. Follows departmental protocols and procedures in the performance of exams and produces images that meet quality standards. 4. Produces work in an efficient manner that meets departmental productivity standards. 5. Maintains the physical work environment in a manner that meets departmental and regulatory requirements. 6. Has a working knowledge of the Radiology Information Systems, EPIC and PACS (Candelis). 7. Reports supply shortages or equipment failures to operations manager and/or team leader. 8. Follows work and patient schedules. 9. Assists Radiologist in the performance of interventional breast procedures. 10. Maintains logs and documentation as per departmental protocol. 11. Provides detailed patient history and/or other pertinent information necessary for proper interpretation of image. 12. Maintains licensure/registry status as determined by state or regulatory bodies. 13. Participates in the training and development of students assigned to the area through clinical affiliations. 14. Maintains a screening technical repeat average of 1% or lower. 15. Assists the technical aides and/or radiologists by informing patients and referring physicians of patient appointment delays. 16. Assists in room preparedness, i.e. cleaning rooms and supply placement, to include ultrasound rooms. Rush is an equal opportunity employer.
