Job Description The Project Engineer - Infrastructure reports to the Engineering Manager u2013 Infrastructure carrying out Project Engineering tasks to support the infrastructure function of the business. u2022u2003Coordinates Engineering input to support schedule development. u2022u2003Works with department managers and others as needed for alignment, effective planning, and execution. u2022u2003Works with the engineering department and project managers as needed to ensure they understand and adhere to the schedule including those activities required of Engineering to support procurement. u2022u2003Coordinates and monitors schedule updates and submittal. u2022u2003Coordinates with clients, internal and external, and managers to determine design codes and establish overall design criteria for the project. u2022u2003Oversees all work is performed in accordance with the approved manuals and procedures. u2022u2003Ensures engineering stays within scope and as-sold intent of the project, including items such as interpretation of scope, assisting in identifying budget deviations, determining potential for change orders, and coordinating the cost estimate / schedule impact with managers. u2022u2003Implements approved project changes and associated schedule impact for the project and communication of changes to the managers. u2022u2003Verifies project quality processes are being followed. u2022u2003Holds reoccurring design coordination meetings as needed with the project team to ensure coordination and that all departments work in conjunction with one another. u2022u2003Coordinates with Project Management and Procurement to establish proper document distribution to internal and external stakeholders. u2022u2003Coordinates engineering field support, field communication, through the utilization of the RFI system. u2022u2003Reviews and provide engineering input in support of the weekly and monthly reports on the status and projects of the contracts, including project costs and potential changes. u2022u2003Participates in project review meetings u2022u2003Performs other responsibilities as required or assigned. If you need assistance and/or a reasonable accommodation due to a disability during the application or recruiting process, please send a request to learn more about how we collect, keep, and process your private information, please review Insight Global's Workforce Privacy Policy: Skills and Requirements u2022u2003Bachelor of Science in any engineering discipline from ABET accredited university required u2022u20035+ years of experience leading multidisciplinary projects including mechanical, structural, electrical, and control systems in the execution of EPC projects and proposals. u2022u2003Strong preference for industrial experience supporting construction teams for Balance of Plant scopes. u2022u2003Desired experience with engineered fixed equipment in the material handling or abrasive blasting industry. u2022u2003Ability to understand client specifications, procurement, commissioning and start-up standards, documentation, practices, vendor data approvals, etc. u2022u2003Demonstrated experience following quality assurance and control procedures u2022u2003Ability to analyze problems, make technical decisions, and implement adequate solutions. u2022u2003Demonstrates a proactive approach and consistently positive demeanor u2022u2003Demonstrates strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously under time sensitive deadlines. u2022u2003Exhibits effective oral, listening, and written communication skills u2022u2003Strong computer skills including MS Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.) u2022u2003Must be able to maneuver around a job site, including climbing ladders and stairs u2022u2003Open Office Environment u2022u2003M-F Between hours of 7am-5pm u2022u2003Approximately 20% for job site visits and client meetings
