Patient Services Specialist (Medical Front Desk) Location: Columbus, OH (multiple locations u2013 float role) Pay: $18.00/hour Work Environment Fast-paced outpatient clinical setting requiring frequent patient interaction. This is a float role, supporting approximately 14u201315 clinic locations within the Columbus area (up to 30u201340 miles travel). Key Responsibilities u2022 Greet patients warmly with professionalism and positivity u2022 Guide new patients through registration and paperwork u2022 Perform patient check-in and check-out processes u2022 Verify insurance, obtain authorizations, and confirm patient information u2022 Collect co-pays and process payments u2022 Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage follow-ups u2022 Document patient interactions in EMR systems u2022 Support daily closing procedures and reconcile charges Required Skills & Experience u2022 1+ year of experience in front desk, customer service, or similar role u2022 Strong communication skills (in-person and over the phone) u2022 Proven reliability and strong attendance record u2022 Ability to multitask in a high-volume environment u2022 Strong computer and administrative skills u2022 Reliable transportation (required for travel between sites) Top Skills u2013 Must Haves: u2022 Customer service u2022 Front desk operations u2022 Scheduling u2022 Insurance verification & co-pay collection u2022 EMR systems Nice to Have Skills: u2022 Medical or healthcare front desk experience u2022 Healthcare call center experience u2022 Familiarity with Therapy Source or Rehab Toolkit u2022 Insurance authorizations and benefits verification Job Type & Location This is a Contract-to-Hire position located in Columbus, OH (floating between multiple local clinic sites).
