Temp to Hire Job Title: Dock Clerk (2nd Shift u2013 3:00 PM to Close) Location: DUNCANVILLE, TEXAS Department: Shipping & Receiving, DOCKS Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor / Logistics Manager Position Summary The Dock Clerk is responsible for coordinating and monitoring all shipping and receiving activities within a food manufacturing facility during the 2nd shift. This role ensures accurate documentation, proper handling of goods, and compliance with food safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities + Verify incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy against bills of lading, invoices, and purchase orders + Coordinate dock activities including scheduling trucks and managing loading/unloading operations + Inspect shipments for damage, quality, and compliance with food safety standards + Maintain accurate records in warehouse management systems (WMS) and/or ERP systems + Communicate with drivers, warehouse staff, and supervisors to ensure efficient dock flow + Ensure proper labeling, lot tracking, and documentation for food products + Monitor temperature-sensitive shipments and document readings as required + Enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) and inventory control procedures + Maintain cleanliness and organization of dock areas in accordance with GMP standards + Report discrepancies, damages, or safety concerns promptly + Assist with cycle counts and inventory audits as needed Qualifications + High school diploma or GED required + 1u20133 years of experience in shipping/receiving, preferably in food manufacturing or distribution + Familiarity with warehouse systems (WMS, ERP) preferred + Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, data entry) + Strong attention to detail and organizational skills + Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Physical Requirements + Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods + Ability to lift up to 50 lbs as needed + Comfortable working in varying temperatures (including refrigerated areas) + Ability to work around forklifts and heavy equipment Work Schedule + Shift: 3:00 PM to close (end time varies based on workload) + Overtime and weekend work may be required Work Environment + Food manufacturing facility with exposure to noise, machinery, and temperature variations and smells + Must follow all safety, sanitation, and food handling regulations (GMP, HACCP compliance)LSI Staffing is An Equal Opportunity Employer.
