Airline Catering Cook - CLE airport

Rate: $17.50 USD per hour Description SUMMARY The Airline Catering Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a fast-paced airline catering environment. This role ensures all food is produced in accordance with company recipes, portion standards, and production schedules while maintaining strict compliance with food safety, hygiene, and quality standards. RESPONSIBILITIES + Prepare and cook hot food items according to established recipes, portion standards, and daily production schedules + Perform food preparation tasks including cleaning, cutting, marinating, seasoning, and cooking ingredients + Ensure all meals meet company quality, presentation, and portion requirements + Maintain compliance with all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards, including HACCP requirements + Conduct quality checks throughout the production process to ensure consistency and accuracy + Support proper food storage practices, including FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures + Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering food and kitchen supplies as needed + Inspect incoming goods to ensure quality and specification compliance + Assist in resolving quality concerns and implementing corrective actions as needed + Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times + Collaborate with team members and leadership to meet production goals and deadlines + Perform any additional duties as assigned QUALIFICATIONS + 18 years of age or older + Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment + High school diploma or equivalent required + 3u20135 years of experience in a commercial kitchen environment; airline catering experience preferred + Culinary training or certification preferred + Strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP standards + Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment + Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized recipes and processes + Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office or similar systems To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential requirement satisfactorily.
