Position Description: US CITIZENSHIP AND ACTIVE TOP SECRET CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED CGI Federal is seeking a Midu2011Level Information Systems Security Engineer (ISSE) to support a large federal initiative. The Midu2011Level ISSE is responsible for supporting the secure design, engineering, and integration of enterprise systems operating across hybrid cloud and onu2011premises environments. This role works closely with system architects, developers, ISSOs, and federal stakeholders to ensure systems are engineered in alignment with NIST security controls, RMF requirements, and agencyu2011specific security standards. The Midu2011Level ISSE contributes to secure architecture analysis, control implementation, system hardening, compliance assessments, and configuration management activities throughout the system lifecycle. Your future duties and responsibilities: u2022 Support development and engineering of secure system architectures, including cloud, hybrid, and onu2011prem deployments. u2022 Assist in designing, implementing, and validating security controls in accordance with NIST 800u201153 and systemu2011level requirements. u2022 Contribute to system security plans, design documents, interface definitions, and engineering baselines. u2022 Support threat modeling, system risk assessments, and engineering reviews. u2022 Participate in technical evaluations for new technologies, tools, or system enhancements to improve security posture. u2022 Assist in secure configuration reviews using STIGs, SCAP benchmarks, and system hardening guidance. u2022 Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure secure integration across the system lifecycle. u2022 Provide engineering support for RMF activities including control inheritance, boundary design, and system integration documentation. u2022 Support testing activities including security functional testing, validation of implemented controls, and review of test results. u2022 Coordinate with crossu2011functional teams to translate customer and mission requirements into secure engineering designs. Required qualifications to be successful in this role: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related technical field. u2022 Minimum of 3u20135 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering, systems engineering, or secure IT integration. u2022 Active Top Secret (TS) clearance. u2022 Working knowledge of: u2013 Secure system architecture and design principles u2013 NIST RMF lifecycle and security engineering processes (NIST 800u201137, 800u2011160) u2013 Implementing NIST 800u201153 security controls u2013 System hardening and secure configuration management u2022 Familiarity with: u2013 Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GovCloud) u2013 Engineering tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, or DevSecOps processes u2013 Common programming/scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) u2022 Ability to analyze technical information, produce engineering documentation, and communicate effectively with crossu2011functional teams.
