FirstEnergy About the Opportunity This is an open position with FirstEnergy Service Co., a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE ALREADY APPLIED DO NOT NEED TO APPLY AGAIN The Supervisor, Wholesale Energy Transactions, is a position within Transmission Operations Services and reports to the Manager of Transmission Metering. This position will be responsible for the oversight of accurate wholesale municipality and cooperative load calculations across the FE system, and timely reporting of those calculations to the Regulated Settlements group for submission to PJM. _Location: Akron OH, Toledo OH_ Responsibilities include: + Assist in establishment of new Wholesale Energy Transactions group, including: + Leading project to set up the wholesale energy accounting system + Initializing groupsu2019 core responsibilities + Creation and documentation of necessary procedures + Ensure accurate collection and reporting of wholesale energy data and associated load calculations + Effectively lead a diverse team toward accomplishment of goals and objectives + Efficiently manage short and long-term projects and objectives associated with Wholesale Energy Transactions and provide status updates to upper management + Ability to work under daily and monthly deadlines to oversee the calculating and reporting of accurate hourly municipal and cooperative data to Regulated Settlements + Providing sound and responsive communication with internal and external parties + Collaborating as a team within Wholesale Energy Transactions, Transmission Metering, Transmission Operations and with other groups across the Company + Actively seek ways to build, challenge, and add value to all assignments + Promote sharing of innovative thoughts and ideas as an analytical resource for continued process improvement + Demonstrate a questioning attitude when reviewing data and current business processes + Exhibits key FE Behaviors (Ownership, Trust, Courage, Openness) + Alignment with FE Core Values Qualifications include: + Bacheloru2019s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related discipline, plus a minimum of 5 years of experience is required. + In lieu of degree, minimum 7 yearsu2019 relevant work experience will be required. Relevant experience includes leadership experience and/or skills, as well as strong analytical ability. + An advanced degree or professional certification preferred + Ability to lead a diverse team and coach individuals to continue to learn and elevate their skills + Related experience may include data management, PJM submission experience, and/or transmission metering knowledge + Understanding of the subject matter related to settlements and Wholesale Energy markets + Strong written and oral communication skills + Proficient analytical abilities involving complex problems + Ability to monitor quality, accurate work within established deadlines + Proficient organizational skills and ability to exercise sound judgment + Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word + Strong teamwork ability and interpersonal skills + Experience with database query or analytic tools (i.e. Toad, SAS, Power BI, QlikView, MS Access) is preferred + Related work experience and knowledge of Transmission System Operations a plus + Knowledge of EMS, Pl, Qlikview, Power BI, TAMI, Cascade, SAP, Power Tracker preferred + Knowledge of metering systems and associated equipment is a plus + Project management experience (PMP certification) is a plus Benefits, Compensation & Workforce Diversity At FirstEnergy, employees are key to our success.
