Your role will include: Assessing respiratory statusby performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, anddeterminingthe need for respiratory interventions.Deliveringevidence-based therapyby providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.Managing ventilation and airwaysbyassistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.Supporting patients and the care teamby educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.Maintainingequipment and safetyby setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards. What qualifications you will need:Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 60 days of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start datePALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date(NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist(NBRC-CRT) Certified Respiratory Therapist​Credentialed active member of the NBRC.Neonate Resuscitate, or Neonatal Resuscitation Program, or Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date​Associateor Bachelor’sDegreefrom an accredited school forRespiratory Therapy+1 year of experience in Respiratory care Benefits Medical City Decatur, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
