We believe in a collaborative, family-centered approach to care-supporting not only our patients, but also the mothers and families who entrust us during some of the most complex and critical moments of their lives.Position OverviewThe Registered Nurse II (RN II) in the Fetal Care Program provides specialized inpatient nursing care to mothers whose unborn babies have complex or high-risk medical conditions and fetal conditions. This role is integral to a highly coordinated, multidisciplinary team focused on optimizing maternal and fetal outcomes through advanced monitoring, education, and compassionate support. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced nurse to practice at the intersection of maternal and fetal medicine in a nationally recognized program.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver comprehensive, patient-centered nursing care to high-risk antepartum and peripartum patientsMonitor maternal and fetal status, recognizing and responding to clinical changes with urgency and precisionCollaborate closely with maternal-fetal medicine specialists, neonatology, anesthesia, and surgical teamsProvide education and emotional support to patients and families navigating complex diagnoses and care plansCoordinate care across disciplines to ensure seamless transitions throughout the inpatient stayMaintain accurate, timely documentation in accordance with hospital standardsParticipate in quality improvement initiatives and evidence-based practice implementationQualificationsCurrent Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Ohio (or eligible)Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required2 years of Labor & Delivery experience requiredACLS , can be obtained after hireStrong clinical assessment and critical thinking skillsAbility to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environmentExcellent communication and teamwork abilitiesCommitment to family-centered, compassionate carePreferred QualificationsExperience caring for high-risk obstetric patientsCertification in Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM), or the intent to obtain certificationExperience in fetal care monitoring, maternal-fetal medicine, or critical care environmentsWhy Join Cincinnati Children's?Nationally recognized leader in pediatric and fetal careCollaborative, mission-driven cultureOpportunities for professional growth and clinical advancementCommitment to innovation, research, and exceptional patient outcomesJOB RESPONSIBILITIES Clinical Inquiry - Follows professional practice standards and guidelines.
