Job Description

Welder and Fabricator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder and Fabricator to design, fabricate, join, and repair equipment, fixtures, and various types of metal objects and structures. The role requires expertise in MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques, primarily working with carbon steel, thick gauge materials, and occasionally with aluminum and stainless steel. Shift: First Shift Morning shift (5AM-3:30PM) Need to be open to Saturdays as needed in production. Pay: $23/hr Responsibilities + Design, fabricate, join, and/or repair equipment, fixtures, and metal objects using various welding techniques. + Work predominantly with carbon steel and occasionally with aluminum and stainless steel. + Determine the layout of weld parts according to drawings and company/customer requirements. + Execute welds in all positions, including from underneath and to the side, and in various shapes such as tubes. + Assist in the welding of components where expertise is needed. + Contribute to the design and set-up of work centers. + Complete required weld documentation including line check sheets and material movement paperwork. Essential Skills + 2+ years of welding experience with at least 1 year in a similar environment. + Proficiency in MIG, TIG, Inner shield, and Flux-cored Arc Welding (Dual shield) techniques. + Ability to meet specific welding standards. + Capability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. + Demonstrated ability to use all appropriate tools, measuring devices, forklifts, cranes, and fixtures. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Technical, vocational, or military training is a plus but not required. + Experience with aluminum MIG welding is advantageous. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.50 - $24.66/hr.
