This job was posted by : For moreinformation, please see: ResponsibilitiesStrategic Planning & Forecasting:- Partner with Sales and Program Management to capture customer forecasts and develop time-phased demand models within the ERP system- Segment planning strategies based on program lifecycle phases, including development, production, and sustainment- Identify, plan for, and secure long-lead and critical components to support production schedulesSupplier Development & Procurement:- Evaluate, select, and onboard suppliers based on customer requirements, certifications, quality history, and technical capability- Lead contract negotiations covering pricing, payment terms, and long-term agreements to ensure cost stability and supply assurance- Conduct regular supplier business reviews to monitor performance metrics, including on-time delivery, quality, and responsivenessRegulatory Compliance & Quality:- Ensure full compliance with aerospace and government regulations, including ITAR, EAR, DFARS, and customer-specific requirements- Maintain complete material traceability from origin through installation, including validation of material certifications and First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)- Manage non-conforming material through MRB processes and collaborate with suppliers to drive root cause analysis and corrective actionsLogistics & Inventory Optimization:- Oversee inbound and outbound logistics operations, ensuring adherence to aerospace handling, storage, and transportation standards- Implement lean warehousing and workplace organization principles, including 6S practices, to reduce lead times, improve efficiency, and minimize handling damage- Optimize inventory levels using ABC/XYZ classification methods to balance service levels, cash flow, and carrying costsProduction Coordination & Continuous Improvement:- Align material availability with the master production schedule to ensure uninterrupted production flow- Serve as the primary liaison between Engineering, Procurement, and Operations to manage engineering change orders (ECOs) and minimize obsolete or excess inventory- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to eliminate waste, improve supplier and internal processes, and enhance overall supply chain performanceLeadership & Risk Management:- Represent the supply chain function on integrated product teams, providing early input on material availability, sourcing risks, and cost drivers during product design and program execution- Develop and execute dual-sourcing, risk mitigation, and business continuity strategies to address vulnerabilities, including sole-source suppliers, capacity constraints, and geopolitical disruptions- Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to supply chain and procurement team members, fostering accountability and professional development
