Job Title: Electronics InspectorJob Description We are seeking an In-Process Electronics Inspector to support our 2nd shift production by performing thorough inspections of electronic assemblies. This role is crucial in ensuring that printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) meet IPC, customer, and internal quality standards throughout the manufacturing process. You will work closely with Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Automated Optical Inspection (AOI), and Electronics Technicians to prevent defects from advancing downstream. Responsibilities + Perform in-process inspection of PCB and PCBA assemblies during SMT and hand-assembly operations. + Inspect solder joints, component placement, polarity, workmanship, and materials per work instructions and IPC-A-610 criteria. + Use visual inspection tools including microscopes and magnification systems. + Identify, document, and properly disposition non-conforming products. + Verify corrective actions before products proceed to the next operation. + Accurately record inspection results, defect data, and dispositions in quality/manufacturing systems. + Communicate defects and trends to production, Quality, and Engineering teams. + Support root cause analysis by providing clear, consistent inspection feedback. + Audit workstations for compliance with work instructions, ESD, and cleanliness standards. + Assist with first-article inspections, process validations, and customer-specific requirements. + Maintain a clean, organized inspection area and follow all safety and quality procedures. Essential Skills + At least 1 year of experience inspecting electronic assemblies or working in electronics manufacturing. + Experience inspecting PCBAs in SMT or mixed-technology environments. + Familiarity with IPC-A-610 workmanship standards (certification a plus). + Experience working alongside SMT, AOI, or Electronics Technician teams. + Background in ISO-certified or high-reliability manufacturing environments. Work Environment Work is performed in an ESD-controlled electronics manufacturing environment. The position operates during the 2nd shift from 3pm to 11:30pm. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $27.00/hr.
