1st & 2nd Shift Welder - Full benefits - Direct Employment - Will pay up to $32/hr. Job Description This role focuses on performing high-quality MIG and TIG welding on a variety of materials and components within a contract job shop environment. The position involves welding, grinding, and finishing tasks while utilizing both manual and robotic welding equipment. Work assignments may vary week to week, providing exposure to diverse projects. Responsibilities + Perform MIG welding on 14u201318 gauge material in flat and horizontal positions + Perform TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel components in flat and horizontal positions + Load and unload parts from a robotic welder, ensuring proper placement and secure fixturing + Perform grinding and finishing work to meet surface quality and appearance standards + Interpret and follow blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications accurately + Inspect welds visually and with basic tools to ensure quality and adherence to standards + Adapt to a variety of projects in a contract job shop environment + Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety protocols Essential Skills + Proven MIG welding experience or completion of a welding program + Ability to perform MIG welding in flat and horizontal positions + Ability to perform TIG welding in flat and horizontal positions + Experience welding 14u201318 gauge materials + Experience TIG welding on mild steel and stainless steel + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding drawings + Proficiency in grinding and finishing processes + Ability to safely operate and support robotic welding equipment Additional Skills & Qualifications + Formal welding education or certification preferred + Previous experience in a contract job shop environment + Familiarity with stainless steel welding applications + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality + Ability to adapt to changing work assignments Why Work Here? + Opportunity to work in a large manufacturing environment with diverse projects and materials + Exposure to modern welding technology, including robotic welding systems + Contract assignment through the end of the year, ideal for short-term or transitional employment + Hands-on experience in a structured, safety-focused environment Work Environment This position is based in a manufacturing job shop setting with varying workloads and project types.
