To explore and learn more, click here ( Your greatest work is ahead The Threat Systems Development Branch of Leidos Defense Sensors, is seeking a talented Software Architecture Section Manager to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. u200bTheBranch is a group of engineers who specialize in foreign threat radar systems, RF software-in-the-loop (SIL) and hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) simulators, and open-air radar development. The candidate selected for this position will support projects for the Defense Intelligence Community, Air Force, and large prime contractors. Primary Responsibilities u200bIn this position, the candidate will serve as a section manager responsible for personnel management, in addition to the duties below. As section manager, the selected candidate will be expected to regularly communicate with direct reports to ensure personnel have adequate tasking, monitor and approve employee timesheets, and conduct annual performance appraisals in accordance with established timelines. u200b Project assignments could be focused in one or multiple of the following areas: + u200bDevelopment of C++ simulations of radar and missile systems in both software-based and hardware-in-the-loop configurations in a variety of environments including Windows, Linux, and hard real-time operating systems. + u200bDevelopment of C# or LAN web-based custom graphical user-interface tools to support simulation control and real-time visualization of simulation results. + u200bIntegration of simulations into customer software environments through software interface development and plugin development. + u200bCreation of deployable professional software deliveries with supporting documentation including version descriptions, test results, and robust installation tools. + u200bDevelopment of continuous build and test toolsets to perform automated release candidate generation and verification. + u200bCollaboration with external customers to elicit requirements and define project goals. Basic Qualifications + 8+ years relevant experience with a related BS degree or an MS in a related field with 6+ years relevant experience + u200bMust have experience managing software processes + u200bMust have experience working in a lab environment + u200bMust have experience with customer/stakeholder interaction and technical meetings + u200bMust be at an expert level with C++codingand both Windows and LINUX operating systems and programming + u200bCandidate must be a US Citizen and possess (and be able to maintain) Secret clearance. + Experience leading programs/projects and small teams of software developers/engineers. Candidate must be a resident of the North Alabama area or willing to relocate to the area.
