This position serves as a subject matter expert for the Department of Stateu2019s computer system (CARS) for vehicle functionality. The incumbent of this position will have a vast knowledge and understanding of CARS vehicle functionality and will use that expertise in the role of liaison between the CARS production support team, MDOS business areas and other agencies. This position will advise the Division director on CARS related vehicle topics, and provide recommendations for improvements on functionality, data security, and record integrity. This position will also develop and analyze vehicle related data statistics and other analytics for the Office director, executive staff and other agencies as required. Position Description -Departmental Specialist 14 (PD Specialist 14 - Core Technology.pdf) Required Education and Experience Education Possession of a bachelor's degree in any major. Experience Four years of professional experience, including two years equivalent to the experienced (P11) level or one year equivalent to the advanced (12) level. Alternate Education and Experience ALTERNATIVE EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONSA bachelor's degree and 2 years of Dept of State Branch Supervisor 11 experience with a bachelor's degreeOR A bachelor's degree and 2 years of Dept of State Branch Supervisor 11 level or above experience OR 2 years of Departmental Supervisor 11 level experience OR 1 year of Departmental Supervisor 12 level or above experience.
