Summary Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, U.S. Border Patrol, El Paso Sector, Mission Readiness Operations. Additional selections may be made to include other organizational divisions and/or units within the duty location(s) listed above. Responsibilities This position carries out a wide variety of mission support, workforce management, administrative research, and program planning activities related to the missions and functions of the Mission Readiness Operations Division. This position starts at a salary of $74,678.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $97,087.00 (GS-11, Step 10) . The Mission Support Specialist (Workforce Management) performs studies and projects interrelated to the workforces of Border Patrol; duties and responsibilities include: Assisting in implementation of policies related to the sector workforce, position management procedures, and other matters affecting employees. Serving as a liaison between the Sector and Border Patrol Headquarters; maintaining various reports and updates for the table of organization; coordinating with supervisors and staff to ensure completion of personnel actions in a timely manner. Serving as a liaison with other agency and employees offices for cases that have workforce implications; researching, collecting, and analyzing data to assist with agency responses to employee cases. Performing a range of general mission support related duties; serving as a point of contact between Sector and Headquarters on emerging trends affecting the Agency business processes.
