Job Description: This position will primarily be responsible for the assembly tasks associated with high-reliability electronic devices. Tools such as soldering irons, hotplates, crimping devices, and torque drivers will be used throughout most tasks. Must be able to work under a Microscope. Tasks may involve repetitive operations and exposure to chemical odors (e.g., alcohol, conformal coat, epoxy). This role requires the ability to operate effectively in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment with a strong emphasis on quality, precision, and attention to detail.Essential Functions: Ability to read assembly drawings, BOM, wire list, engineering change orders, rework instructions, and process control instructionsFully proficient individual contributor. Works under limited supervision. May be a resource to other employees in areas of expertise. Assignments are moderately difficult requiring some judgmentAble to work under MicroscopeTinning of components using solder potHand soldering of SMT, through-hole, fine pitch components, and wiringGenerals clean up, epoxy, and conformal coatingMechanical assembly using torque drivers.Good communication skills, both oral and writtenHigh level of accuracy and strong attention to detailPlan and execute work schedules in conjunction with hardware schedule requirementsResponsible for the manufacturing of all hardware on one or more product lines.Minimum of 6 years of SMT and Through Hole solder experienceFamiliar with wiring, harness assembly, and coax cable assemblyPreference will be given to candidates who are certified in J-STD-001 Class 3Required Qualifications (one of the following): High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experiencePreferred Additional Skills:Ability to read documentation, drawings, and process control instructions.Experience soldering skills.Familiarity with basic computing environments (Windows)Must be able to obatin a Security ClearanceIn compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $47,500 - $88,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
