This position has significant opportunity for advancement and will be a fantastic fit for a well spoken, conscientious, and warm person with exceptional people and communication skills.ResponsibilitiesAll aspects of chairside assistingPrepare patients and their families for treatments or checkups ensuring their comfortEnsuring infection control protocols are strictly observedSterilize instruments according to regulationsAssist the dentist through 4-handed dentistryUndertake lab tasks as instructedProphies and instructions for oral hygiene with childrenKeep the dental room clean and well-stockedPatient set-up and clean-upBasic office upkeepAs an DA in our practice, you are NOT required to process insurance forms or collect payments.SkillsProven experience as dental assistantKnowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methodsUnderstanding of health & safety regulationsAbility to perform regulated non-surgical dental tasksExcellent communication and people skillsAttention to detailWell-organized and reliableStrong and supportive team playerWe will pay for the necessary certification courses if needed.This is a 5 day per week full-time opportunity with full benefits after an introductory period. We are open occasional Saturdays and can provide additional work hours on a volunteer basis. Scrub uniforms are provided.
