LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered up with a great company in Nassau County, NY. We are seeking a qualified Accounts Payable Specialist to work Full Time. Job Summary:The Accounts Payable Specialist will be responsible for processing all invoices received for payment and for undertaking the payment of all creditors in an accurate, efficient and timely manner.Duties/Responsibilities:Process outgoing payments in compliance with financial policies and procedures.Perform day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data.Reconcile the accounts payable ledger to ensure that all bills and payments are accounted for and properly posted.Verify and investigate any discrepancies by reconciling vendor accounts and monthly vendor statements.Receive and verify expense reports; reconcile expense and other financial reports with account balances and other office records.Facilitate payment of vendors, which may include verification of federal ID numbers, reviewing purchase orders, and resolving discrepancies.Ensure outstanding obligations are credited upon payment, identify discount opportunities, and request purchase order amendments or stop-payment orders as needed.A record entry of verified documentation for and distribution of petty cash.Other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Proven working experience as an Accounts Payable ClerkSolid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable principlesMust be reliable and extremely trustworthy.Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related programs.Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.Education and Experience:High school diploma required; Business or Accounting degree preferred.Available Immediately APPLY TODAY.Pay Details: $25.00 to $30.00 per hourSearch managed by: Joy Silva Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
