The Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting with the overall financial integrity and accuracy of the Demant US Wholesale Hearing Aids Business Unit. This includes assisting in preparation of financial statements that follow all regulatory and accounting guidelines. The role will be responsible for financial accuracy, assisting in development of control systems, day-to-day transactional accounting, financial audits, and quarterly financial reporting requirements etc. This individual must have strong knowledge of accounting principles, a strong process mindset, analytical abilities, and proven ability to lead a team of professionals.Responsible for balance sheet and income statement accounts, general ledgers, cost centers and reporting systems ensuring compliance with policies and IFRS requirementsLead month-end close through completeness and accuracy of journal entry preparation and account reconciliations Assist in the preparation/review of financial statements in alignment with company requirementsAssist in the formulation of internal controls and segregations of financial duties, and implement changes on an ongoing basisStreamline accounting functions working in concert with financial operations to drive process improvements and efficiencies Lead the forecasting and budgeting process for Group Services, including the allocation of Group Services costs to other US business units Collaborates closely with cross functional teams to ensure financial processes/policies are understood and supported across company to ensure scalability of our operations to support future growthLead the annual financial external auditAssist in software migration/implementation such as ERP or reconciliation toolsAnalytical support and project management for special projectsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
