Project Executive - Life ScienceA Life Sciences Project Executive (PE) leads and oversees a team to develop, coordinate, implement, and manage all facets necessary to construct a project on time, within budget, and to the quality specified. The Project Executive leadership serves as the liaison between project team members to promote the interest of both the business and clients in all matters, as well as demonstrate the characteristics of a mid-level executive level leader. ResponsibilitiesEstablishing new Life Sciences oriented contacts in the local industry. Attending ISPE and other life sciences oriented professional organization events.Actively seek work with existing contacts in the industry; attend industry network events and promote HITT.Mentoring and educating new employees and existing employees in the unique characteristics and requirements involved with GMP compliant pharmaceutical construction projects.Use Company Data Base to track your industry contacts, record opportunities and submit projects for approval when over our standard office limit in either scope or troduce HITT to industry involved subcontractors (best in class), assist with getting the firms a Master Services Agreement.Develop and lead pre-construction effort on projects.Work together with marketing department to write new collateral or adjust existing materials to show market relevancy.Upon receipt of RFP''s, read and be the leader to spearhead the team for answering in the right manner with a focus on presentations for projects.Keep tabs on project meetings run by your team and interject if necessary.Aid in establishing a methodology for any client requests, such as custom cost reports or change order logs in their systems.Set priorities for your project management staff in their daily work.Check all schedules formatted by your project team to ensure that the logic is correct, and no critical items are left out.Contact new and existing customers to discuss their needs while explaining how these needs could be met by specific company servicesWork with our safety superintendent(s) to ensure that they are up to date on requirements of your industry.Visit project sites no less than once a week to ensure that field operations are running smoothly until such time that project management staff can provide effective review.Act as a sponsor to several field superintendents as required of all HITT staff leaders.Maintains adherence to HITT''s standards of safetyTravel to project sites within the NYC tri-state areaQualificationsA four-year degree from an accredited university with a concentration in construction, engineering, or business is strongly preferredIn lieu of a degree, additional work experience is acceptable10+ years of experience in Life Sciences Construction projects, commercial construction, including experience with a commercial general contractorPrevious experience in a project management role with the ability to execute multiple projects and/or simultaneouslyAbility to travel to project sites within the NYC tri-state areaAbility to master sector/project-specific software systems including but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite (ex. Project, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.), ProCore, Adobe, BlueBeam, JD EdwardsTechnical understanding of construction means and methods in order to solve problems that overreach project management staff.Demonstrate a knowledge of materials, finishes, process piping, Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing systems commonly found in pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.Ability to organize necessary resources, including people, tools and time to meet tight deadlines and achieve desired resultsKnowledge of current market conditions including pricing conventions and trends in order to provide budgets to clients.Must demonstrate a strong ability to:Carry oneself as a leader and knowledge holder of the project while facilitating the decision-making processMentor younger staffDemonstrate a positive attitude and passion for construction and our industryCommunicate clearly, concisely, and professionally, with a strong ability to present complex information in a clear and concise mannerTake initiative and seek responsibilityDemonstrate integrity consistent with The HITT Way and HITT''s core valuesSeek continuous improvement of knowledge and abilities, internal focus on self-improvementRecognize quality and implement contractual and HITT quality standardsAdapt and exercise flexibility with the ever-changing world of technology, design, means and methodsCollaborate with people of various backgrounds and stylesFoster positive relationships with colleagues, clients, subcontractors and vendorsApproach all situations with a customer service-oriented attitudeCoach, train and educate assistant level team membersSustain existing client relationships and develop new client relationshipsUnderstand and know what tasks are more important than others; discern priorities for you and your staff.Exhibit respectfulness by being punctual, engaged/focused, and respectful of othersHave a general understanding of New York Construction processes including filing with DOBHITT Contracting, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
