The Operational Risk Sr Officer I is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Typically a small number of people within the business that provide the same level of expertise. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Responsible for handling staff management issues, including resource management and allocation of work within the team/project. Responsibilities: Be a key member of the PBWM CAO Business Risk & Controls Organization, within the Operational Risk Capabilities Team to drive and coordinate all 1st Line of Defense (LoD) Operational Risk Procedural requirements, Process Flows and tools across PBWM Products, Functions and Regions. Lead Workflow Automation solutions to improve efficiency of Operational Risk Assessments and establish connectivity across other disciplines and requirements. Ensure proper Documentation (Visio Flows & Excel files) are owned by the team and tied to each program being on-boarded to Tableau. Develop and implement Business Intelligence (BI) Tools to integrate into the Operational Risk processes to assist with the development and implementation of reports and analytical routines in the identification of risks exposures and control weaknesses. Identify opportunities to improve BRCC, Material Risk Inventory, Scenario Analysis, Lessons Learned and other Operational Risk Management reporting processes, providing holistic views where applicable. Manage requirement, design, user acceptance testing and implementation meetings for all Operational Risk related tools produced by other 1st and 2nd LOD partners. Manage progress and report against the overall project plans/roadmaps and provide bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual status reports. Conduct data driven root-cause-analysis using technology solutions to isolate key performance drivers identifying themes and trends that are articulated to Senior Management in a simplistic and actionable method. Qualifications: 10+ years relevant experience Outstanding communication and influencing skills through all levels of the organization and with external partners and vendors. Exceptional relationship management skills; must be able to address and resolve conflict while maintaining relationships. Ability to effectively communicate complex topics to a broad audience. Detailed oriented with analytical skills, as the role requires a large amount of data manipulation and presentation. Expert in Microsoft Office Tools. Education: Bachelor''s/University degree, Master''s degree preferred Knowledge/Experience: Strong project management experience Experienced negotiator; collaborative Support for a risk and control environment in a country or another line of business Demonstrable ability in partnering across multi-functional organizations to bring about change in a specialized function or capability Familiarity with Citi Consumer and Wealth products and services (desirable but not mandatory) A good understanding of Citi''s Operational control environment Skills: Ability to decipher complex terms and concepts Ability to manage large projects Ability to drive timely results across multiple products, functions, and regions Ability to identify and execute on change.
