Assistant General Manager:Golfzon Social is coming to Brooklyn, NY We are excited to announce the exceptional career opportunity of Assistant General Manager at our new location Downtown Brooklyn at 11 Hoyt Street. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for leading all aspects of the Golfzon Social hospitality experience for all guests who visit Golfzon Social: a bar and restaurant anchored by high-tech indoor golf simulators.This position is focused on ensuring an enjoyable hospitality experience that includes assisting new visitors with the booking process, how to use the simulator technology, and actively focuses on customer retention through exceeding our world class service standards. The ideal candidate has experience in the daily management of F&B operations including staffing and scheduling, ensuring consistent and high levels of guest and patron service levels and is enthusiastic about working with the public with a strong customer service background.Position reports to the General Manager.Benefits for this position include: a group health insurance plan, dental plan, vision plan, paid time off, a 401(k) savings plan, and optional Flexible Spending/Health Savings Accounts.Salary range is $70k-$80k per year, based on experience, with an additional performance bonus. Hiring immediately.Responsibilities include:Works closely with the General Manager to plan and develop programs that appeal to all golfer segments in the surrounding marketAssist with sourcing, hiring, developing, training and motivating a staff of professional service"orientated staff at the discretion of the General ManagerAssists with managing food and beverage operations to ensure seamless delivery of products to the customerMaintain food and beverage operations in accordance with and exceeding health and safety guidelines.Assist with professionally and efficiently stocking and displaying merchandiseProduce daily reports related to facility performance, sales, etc. for managementAssists in reconciliation of daily cash, accounts receivable and accounts payable charges Assists in overseeing the care and maintenance of the property's physical assets and facilitiesPerform other duties as assigned by General ManagerManages all aspects of the facility in the absence of the General ManagerThe ideal candidate will have the flexibility to work nights closing the facility, weekends, and holidays as the business needs dictateQualifications and Knowledge Requirements:1"3 years' supervisor or management experience in the Restaurant/Hospitality/Golf industry preferredMust have a strong business aptitude and passion for the Restaurant/Hospitality/Golf businessMust have world class customer service skills catering to a diverse customer baseMust have supervisory, coaching and staff development experienceMust be highly motivated, goal driven and self"starterMust be extremely organized, efficient and detail"orientedMust possess exceptional written and verbal communication skillsMust have highly polished interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with people easily and quicklyMust be team orientated and able to lead and work with a team of various personalitiesMust possess a great sense of humorMust be proficient in Excel, Access, Word, and basic POS systemsExperience with TOAST a huge plus but not criticalExperience with basic Back of House functions highly desirable (Expediting, Food Running)Experience with basic Front of House functions highly desirable (Floor and Service Management Experience, Bar Supervision, Touching Tables, Complaint Mitigation)NYC Food Handler Certification a huge plusTIPS Certification a huge plusFour"year college degree (preferably business related).
