Overview POSITION SUMMARY: Bayview runs a concentrated portfolio, with a focus on investment opportunities where Bayview has a differentiated perspective on fundamental business drivers. The RMBS Portfolio Management Analyst will be working in the trading desk. This position supports portfolio management, daily trading activities and other ad-hoc analysis duties as assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Use and understand the spreadsheet/tool/script/database that generate fund/sector level reports. Be able to revise or improve the query/template if needed. Run existing daily/weekly/monthly process of the in-house model, Intex, Bloomberg, excel spreadsheet and improve if needed. Constructing scenarios for RMBS/ABS product using Intex Building tools to support portfolio management and fund operations Support the construction of database, model development and validation Other duties as assigned SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE/ABILITIES: Ability to think independently without being purposefully contrarian Strong work ethic and ability to work both independently and as a part of a team, especially under tight deadlines. Positive track record of professional and academic excellence Preferred - good understanding of structured financial products and pricing Preferred - scientific programming skills in python, SQL, VBA Preferred - strong quantitative skills working with statistical model(s) EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: Master or undergraduate degree in quantitative fields/Economics/Finance/Business etc. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
