Purpose and Job SummaryReporting to the Senior Managing Director, Director of Capital Markets in the Real Estate Investment Strategies (''REINS'') group will play a central role within the REINS team to further the strategic objectives of the business, which is focused on commercial real estate investments for the balance sheet and third-party managed capital vehicles. REINS is responsible for the execution of these investment objectives, including the credit review and underwriting of transactions, management of the origination process from deal quote and selection through completion of due diligence and closing, asset management, and creating presentations to communicate with relevant stakeholders. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesKey role in optimization and capitalization of right side of the balance sheet of various REINS vehicles. Works with REINS Product Head to develop and execute strategies to enhance returns of the overall business.Responsible for analytical and modeling systems for return enhancement of investment opportunities (generally focused on debt capital markets), supports new business development, capital raising and other capital-related strategic initiatives.Responsible for day to day pricing of deals, warehouse line financing coordination, securitization and other capital markets executions. Works closely with REINS team members, originators, corporate finance and finance and accounting groups.Responsible for managing CLO vehicles, including ensuring eligibility of asset transfers and timely deployment of CLO capital as capital availability arises. Regularly liaises with rating agencies, legal counsel and other counterparties as required.Participates in development of new products and other strategic efforts as requested by REINS Product Head.Contributes towards execution of syndication efforts and expansion of network of investor and capital relationships of REINS.Creates presentation materials and communications that are sent to investors and senior teracts with finance counterparties, investors and legal counsel during the structuring and execution of investment opportunities and capital market transactions.Performs other duties and projects as assigned.ContactsThis position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.Supervisory ResponsibilityResponsible for associates and analysts in team.Education, Skills & ExperienceBachelor''s degree from an accredited college/university.Minimum of 10+ years'' investment banking, private equity, or private lending experience. Undergraduate degree with an interest in real estate/finance and a desire to work in and investment banking, private equity, or private lending environment.General capital markets experience in real estate products, covering securitization, syndication, warehouse line management, and other capital market functions.Detailed knowledge of financial statements, understanding of financial markets. Proven financial modeling skills.Strong analytical and problem solving skills.Strong time management and organizational skills. Excellent communication and presentation skills.Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills required, as well as ability to develop and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
