DESCRIPTION:Duties: Communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients to discuss market-moving events, trading color on stocks, and deal pipeline. Read newly published research on a daily basis to understand research teams' stock views across different industries in Asia. Share relevant equity models and thematic research reports with institutional clients upon request. Host IPO roadshow meetings, participate in management teach-in Q&A, and closely communicate with Equity Capital Markets team on deal color. Write commentaries on market-moving news, trading flows and equity research to create several key sales products, which are distributed to hundreds of institutional clients every day. Interpret stock market reactions to announcements of changes in the tax system, monetary policies, and regulatory environment. Collaborate with J.P. Morgan's Prime Brokerage, Equity Derivatives, and QFII teams to cross-sell the firm's wide product offerings to institutional clients. Leverage financial models to provide JP Morgan estimates on different companies' revenue growth, profit margins, and earnings outlook. Train juniors on the desk by assigning different projects, answering questions about the financial markets, and coaching them on stock pitches.QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree in Financial Economics, Finance, Economics, or related field of study plus 4 years of experience in the job offered or as Asia Equity Sales, Associate, Analyst, or related occupation.Skills Required: Requires experience in the following: Microsoft Excel, including interpreting equity models and doing basic financial calculations; Bloomberg, including comparing stock valuations, understanding earnings announcements, and screening for relevant stocks during key market-moving events; Balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements; Tailored investment products for institutional clients, including mutual funds, hedge funds, sovereign wealth funds, and family offices. Must possess the following license(s): Series 7; Series 63. The employer also requires following language: Mandarin.Job Location: 383 Madison Avenue, New York, NY 10179. Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the week.Full-Time. Salary: $260,000 - $285,000 per year.
