In this role, the successful candidate as the Associate Director, Supply Chain Finance, reports directly to the VP Supply Chain, and has overall responsibility to drive financial rigor and best practices within the Supply Chain department. This position would act as the key financial advisor to the Supply Chain VP and team to drive system wide financial initiatives. This is a new role and the Associate Director, Supply Chain Finance will be a creative individual that will be able to leverage past experience in order to create an environment that elevates the organization with increased financial focus. This role will create new processes related to costing, inventory processes, FTE labor standards, business cases for financial decisions to name a few. The individual will sit on the supply chain leadership team and will be responsible for partnering with all supply chain functions: Logistics, Sourcing, Procurement, Value Analysis, Data and Transformation across all aspects of the health system. They will be collaborating with the team and multiple end users across the system in the clinical, research and corporate settings. Some of the duties include, but are not limited to, leading financial planning and forecasting, oversight of actual monthly results and KPIs and commentary, providing financial insight and analysis to aid in decision making, and challenging the business to drive sustainable value.Job Responsibilities:Establish Supply Chain value propositions that tie financial metrics and CFO focus areas directly to operations business improvement Engage with the SC team to establish total cost of ownershipLead annual business planning process & costing sign-offDrive a strong business case culture Redesign and implement internal financial reporting measures/KPI'sBudget, monitor, and track realization of savings, inflation and rebates Monthly costing update & control incl. Supplies and Services Assessing financial aspects of all Sourcing recommendations/ initiativesBenchmark to identify opportunities and develop plans to close gaps Partner with Director Inventory to manage inventory spend and provide insights and recommendationsPartner with sourcing to evaluate financial impact of strategic partnershipsPartner with VA and revenue cycle to understand the true business impact of new productsPartner with hospital finance to understand and provide commentary on material cost variances as well as to evaluate current practices and provide recommendations accordingly.Support decisions on investments and capital allocation, including acquisitions and assets transfersWork effectively across the business to research variances and understand trendsDevelop plans to address issues and drive improvement of processes and proceduresResponsible for evaluating projects for strategic alignment and financial impactsContinuously evaluate and improve internal controlsAssist VP Supply Chain with resource allocation, career development of staff, and other people management decisionsPerforms other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. 8+ years of experience ideally in supply chain Proven success leading process improvement, change management, business transformation. Experience driving teams to deliver supply chain value. Demonstrated track record of success in operations management, people management and achieving outcomes across a broad scope of responsibilities. Strong leadership, team building and management skills. Ability to handle critical issues and solve problems in a complex environment are also essential. The salary range for the role is $110,479.20 - $184,132 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
