In this role, the Equipment Logistics Associate will function as a member of the Equipment & Logistics team and work collaboratively with Clinical Engineering and other departments. This position will support the Equipment & Logistics team by serving as the operational liaison & customer service-lead for equipment management in the Manhattan Clinical Equipment Service CenterJob Responsibilities:Customer Service: Manage the Equipment Check-in Desk in the Manhattan Clinical Equipment Service CenterProvide stellar customer-service to all stakeholders, including inpatient areas, perioperative services, ancillary staff, sterile processing department, hospital operations, and others Contact departments and end users to ensure equipment is retrieved in a timely fashion Escalate concerns to Equipment & Logistics leadership or Medical Director as neededData-System Management:Open work orders for all equipment that is in need of repair or inspectionEnsure work orders are properly closed out before device is returned to service Ongoing database clean-up in Clinical Engineering computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) platform Support completion of Equipment Management HRO scorecardReal-Time Locating System (RTLS): Provide day-to-day management & operational ownership of Real-Time Locating System (RTLS) tagging and Mobileview systemEnsure equipment is appropriately RTLS tagged & entered correctly in Mobileview system Continuously monitor battery life and arrange for battery changes as needed Monitor exception reporting of RTLS tagged devices and deploy resources to address changing tags Monitor metrics related to RTLS/equipment locating, as determined by Equipment & Logistics leadership Conduct follow up and real-time training or education to end users on RTLS/Mobileview on as needed basis. Manage inventory of tags and batteries (TBD)Daily Equipment Oversight: Partner with Nursing units to support completion of central telemetry tracker Coordinate in-room inspections to ensure regulatory compliance for all stationary equipment Perform other duties as assigned.Equipment Logistics Support: Assist in the execution of stated goals and objectives for Equipment Logistics OfficeBuild and promote positive working relationships with all stakeholdersPerform other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications:Associates degree or equivalent in business administration, health care administration or related field or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experienceExcellent customer service skillsProficiency in using various Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and OutlookFamiliar with Internet applications; familiarity with other databases and analytic tools a plusEffective oral, written, communication, interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to adapt tone and style for broad and diverse audiencesAbility to interface effectively with all levels of management and must work and communicate effectively with both internal and external customersAbility to work within a team environment as well as independentlyTime management skills and ability to work well under pressureQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $45,541.60 - $70,063.76 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
