One of Crain's New York Best Places to Work, Frankfurt Kurnit is seeking a mid-level corporate associate for our Corporate Group. Our Corporate Group clients include investors, early-stage startups, growth stage companies and recognized industry leaders, with a particular focus in the entertainment, technology, media and hospitality industries. We are particularly interested in candidates with a broad corporate background, with a preference for candidates with experience working with one or more of the following: emerging-growth companies, media and entertainment-oriented ventures (including agencies, production companies, content creators and talent), in connection with corporate governance, venture capital financings, the formation of joint ventures, corporate structuring and mergers and acquisitions. We expect our associates to be able to work independently and have strong client relations skills. Attorney must be admitted to practice in New York. PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONSPrepare and negotiate corporate and transactional documents.Handle and manage transactional projects from beginning to end.Perform complex legal research and extensive due diligence.Evaluate current and new projects, partnerships, mergers, divestitures, and acquisitions for potential legal issues.Give legal advice to clients on corporate governance, policies, procedures, financings, intellectual property transactions, employment and operations, and regulatory issues, and guide them towards best practices in corporate law regulatory compliance.Additional responsibilities as assigned. SPECIFIC SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES REQUIREDAbility to work independently. Strong critical thinking and analytical skills.Exceptional attention to detail, pragmatism, and judgment and the ability to problem solve.
