Dow Jones is a division of News Corp (Nasdaq: NWS, NWSA; ASX: NWS, NWSLV). About the Role: The SVP, Finance will lead the financials for the business & information portfolio at Dow Jones. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer at Dow Jones, the leader will also collaborate with the business general managers & sales leaders to set and execute on the strategic priorities of the business & information portfolio. A key responsibility will be to work with the office of the CEO to articulate and drive strategic plans across the organization to ensure plans, investments, and partnerships are effectively executed to realize the intended outcomes. Dow Jones is a diversified media business, and the SVP of Finance will be expected to work collaboratively with leaders across the Company. Responsibilities: Responsible for forecasting, reporting, and strategic analysis. Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives Provide high level financial modeling and analysis and be well-versed in the creation of dynamic financial models. Must be able to dig into the details to analyze and understand causes of budget/actual variances. Manage a high-functioning team of FP&A professionals. Coordinate all aspects of financial planning and analysis for the business. Foster collaboration and streamline processes across the Finance and Sales team to gather information and insights for weekly reporting and monthly financial pacing reports. Work with the various finance teams to consolidate financial results and provide variance explanations and guidance on financial matters Lead annual Long-Range Plan and Budget processes, prepare supporting documentation, and develop presentations and decks for senior leadership and executive management. Aggregate financial and operational insights for CFO in preparation for pacings, op review meetings, and quarter closes. Prepare internal presentations for Monthly Operating Reviews. Qualifications: 15+ Years of progressive experience in finance, including at least 7 years of experience in an FP&A role ideally with at least some experience in a senior finance role Demonstrated experience navigating a complex and challenging business environment Highly analytical, able to synthesize data and provide insightful narratives Strong project management, organizational skills, attention to detail and work ethic Results-oriented with ability to balance multiple assignments at a time in a fast-paced environment to achieve desired result Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to convey information to a variety of internal and external audiences Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
