Summary You will serve as an ADMINISTRATIVE/TECHNICAL SPECIALIST functioning as a Lead Contracting Officer's Representatives(COR) in the Corporate Operations Department (10), ACIO/Information Technology Division (104) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. The salary range shown above represents all of the positions within the band, including high grade positions. This is not a high grade position; therefore, the salary may be limited to a GS-13 Step 10 (currently $134,435). Responsibilities You will serve as Contracting Officer's Representatives (COR) and perform duties as appointed in accordance with NAVSEA Instruction 4200.17 (series) in order to represent the Contracting Officer and to ensure proper execution of the contract. You will monitor and oversee highly technical and complex contracts for ITD consisting of 118.7-million-dollar contract and 156 support personnel. You will serve as a lead for Corporate Operations COR Community of Interest (COI) to share lessons learned and best practices. You will provide acquisition support to ITD for Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) packages. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower pay band, NT-04 (GS-11/12 equivalent) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Evaluating the execution of contracts (e.g., large service contracting, simplified acquisition process, procurement request process, appropriations) to ensure compliance with financial and technical requirements. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information Open to permanent employees within ORG CODE 10 (includes all divisions, branches, and sections within the Corporate Ops Department). This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14. Additional vacancies may be filled by this announcement.
