Job Description Job Description Description:With a customer service orientation, accurately perform assigned portions of telephone answering, appointment scheduling, and verification of insurance benefits.BENEFITS: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurances, 401k, Life Insurance, Long Term Disability Insurance, Critical Illness and Accident Insurances, Legal Insurance, Pet Insurance, PTO NOTE: Bilingual Spanish is required for this role at this timeRequirements: Key Responsibilities Responds to incoming phones calls for all sites promptly and in an exceptional quality mannerAppropriately schedules patient appointments based on physician guidelines- includes faxed and telephone referrals via Par80, and New Submission requestsMaintains strong knowledge of all site protocols and physician schedules/changes to ensure appropriate information is provided to patientsClearly and concisely documents every patient request and pertinent information via ModMed so that practice can successfully respond to patient needsThrough appropriate call control, ensures that calls are handled efficiently to attain daily call production goals.Performs real-time eligibility during appointment callsEnsures all faxes are cleared off the machine and distributed/processed throughout the daySorts incoming reports and directs to appropriate personFacilitates any physician or manager requests throughout the dayMaintains and respects the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with company policy & procedure, and HIPAA & compliance guidelinesShared Duties/OtherMaintains detailed knowledge of practice management and other computer software as it relates to job functionsAttends all regular staff meetings and continuing education sessions as requiredSpeaks with a pleasant speaking voice and demeanor Presents professional image in manner, appearance, motivation and work habitsMaintains regular attendancePerforms other duties as assignedAcademic/Technical Qualifications HS diploma or GED equivalentBasic computer knowledge mandatory- comfortable using email and interacting with internet applicationsIndustry ExperiencePrefer two years of current work experience as a Call Center rep in a medical practiceTwo years' experience in verifying insurancesKnowledge of practice management and word processing softwareCommunication Skills Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work well with physicians, employees, patients, and othersA committed and result-driven attitude to work as a high ethical and professional standard.Unquestionable commitment to confidentiality, quality customer service and professionalism.
