Job Summary Located on the 93rd floor at SUMMIT 1 Vanderbilt, Apres is a bar and lounge offering thoughtfully crafted cocktails, served alongside 360-degree views of New York City. In addition to a respected cocktail program, Apres also offers coffee beverages and New York classics such as Pastrami Sliders, NY Hot Dogs, and an array of fresh baked pastries. In addition to the indoor bar and lounge, the Apres team also operates an outdoor bar and seasonal food carts on the terrace. Who you are:The Manager works closely with the General Manager and provides leadership and support to the Front of House and Back of House teams. The Manager will collaborate with the rest of the Management Team to ensure that we consistently offer phenomenal service, including best-in-class culinary and beverage offerings for all guests. The Manager will lead, educate, and support the Apres Team to create the best experience for all guests and the best work environment and experience for all employees.What you'll do: Cultivate a culture of authentic hospitality for all stakeholders that supports the business objectives of USE as well as SUMMIT. Exhibit expert knowledge of all FOH and BOH stations (Bartender, POS/Cashier, Barista, Cook, Porter, and Receiver) Be a champion of Enlightened Hospitality to our guests ensuring that the experience leaves them raving both during and after their visit. Maintain excellence and cleanliness of the workspace, ensuring appropriate inventory is always available to employees and guests and that all staff is setup for success each day. Continuously provide support to all FOH&BOH staff and actively participate in the cycle of service as needed. Remain current and compliant with the correct HR practices and policies, holding employees accountable to all standards and practices, evaluating and/or following disciplinary procedure when necessary. Ensure DOL/Health Department compliance as it pertains to the operation. Provides feedback and guidance with excellence and hospitality in mind, ensuring that all team members have a pathway for growth and development.
