Do you have experience working in Loss Prevention and/or Security? Are you looking for a Security role with stable, day-time hours that allows for a work-life balance? Do you enjoy interacting with the public in a customer service environment while maintaining a harmonious and pleasant shopping atmosphere? If so, this may be the job for you!ResponsibilitiesCultivate a harmonious store environment and strong visual presence at the entrance/exit through courteous greeting and professional interactions with customers and teammatesMaintain a safe and respectful store environment by consistently monitoring the sales floor, circulating the store regularly, and identifying any potential safety issues in a timely mannerGreet customers and maintain a friendly but secure presence that helps prevent internal and external theftIdentify and address theft indicators and/or safety concerns; may respond to emergencies and assist in evacuationsCommunicate all safety concerns and suspicious activity to store management and work together to find solution to maintain a harmonious shopping environment at all timesQualificationsPrevious or transferrable experience related to Security, Safety and/or Loss PreventionFriendly, enjoys interacting with people and comfortable in a customer service based environmentDemonstrates a high level of respect, empathy, and courtesy in all interactionsA calm head when dealing with safety issues, with a focus on de-escalation techniques as neededAbility to evaluate circumstances and make timely decisions based on the company Safety and Security guidelinesAble to effectively communicate with co-workers, management, and law-enforcementGood judgment, flexibility, integrity, and collaborationBackground in customer service or retail a plus DEI (Diversity, Equity & Inclusion) awareness, sensitivity, and training a plus; you will encounter diverse populations in our stores and must remain sensitive and respectful at all timesMust be able to stand / walk sales floor for several hours at a timeMust be comfortable working in a public setting during the COVID-19 pandemic, and must be willing and able to enforce policies as they relate to the COVID-19 safety protocolsGuard Card preferredCompany OverviewAt Crossroads, we want you to show up as your authentic self; this means bringing all of the characteristics that make you you.
