Job Description Job Description OverviewSumptuous Locks is a Natural Hair salon that specializes in locking hair. Our approach holistic: good health is good hair. We provide a wealth of services for Sisterlocksâ„¢, microlocs, instant locs, interlocs, traditional locs, and Natural Hair.We are a growing salon and currently seeking a Salon Manager to serve as an integral part of our team.If you have the natural ability to:· Make others smile· Address and resolving customer concerns· Multi-task like ninjaWe want to hear from you!ResponsibilitiesMonitoring the calendar of appointments, meetings, and eventsOrganizing and updating key documentsRecruit, interview, hire, and train new staff on policies, procedures, and expectationsIncludes executing on onboarding, offboarding processesCreating and implementing administrative systems and procedures that ensures the organization and success of Sumptuous Locks· Troubleshoot any reservation system issues, make changes to Client Profiles, optimize appointments to fit business needs, and check notes to ensure clients' needs are met· Ensure client information is entered with accuracy and timeliness.· Rebook appointments during check out while addressing the client by name.· Optimize and maximize appointments with the reservation system and ensure timely communication with Customer Service team.Lead supervisorial and team meetingsManage the opening/closing of the salon each dayMaintaining cleanliness of the highest standardsManage employee and client schedules (knowledge of GenBooks a big plus)· Organize and execute shop flow between Clients and staff in a positive manner.· Serve as subject matter expert in reservation system.Inventory management and ordering of salon suppliesCoach stylists on consultations with clientsPromote retail productsHelp manage revenue objectives and staff goalsDaily content uploads to social media and engagement with clients on reviewsConstant interaction with clients and staffResearching new salon technology and developmentsCoordinate special training sessions with staffQualifications3-5 years' experience working for an organizationHigh School diploma or GED (required)BA / BS in Business Administration or similar degree (preferred)· Human resources skills and experience· Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)· Experience with Canva and Quickbooks is preferred.· Retail experience is also preferred.· Familiar with social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram)· Excellent client relationship skills including, but not limited to the ability to clearly and effectively communicate, problem-solve, multi-task, and take direction· Candidate must have high standards of professionalism, be dependable, take pride in his or her work, and can work in fast-paced environment.· Formal stylist certification is a plus
