Job Description Job DescriptionJob descriptionThe Field Service Engineer provides technical service and support on water purification equipment with the objectives of minimizing customer downtime, nurturing successful business relationships and generating revenue opportunities for Pureflow.Key Responsibilities:Develop Cost Estimate for proposals related to system troubleshooting and maintenancePrepare and issue maintenance quotes and account renewalsSet up and maintain customer contracts, jobs and servicesHandle customer calls and coordinate service schedule with service techniciansPerform data analysis and trending of cloud-based, time-series performance data using Microsoft ExcelWrite thorough technical reports detailing operating trends and system improvement recommendationsServe as a project manager for maintenance and troubleshooting projectsPrepare and oversee service project documentation, including spec sheets, O&M manuals, and validation documents, as applicableOversee a variety of preventative and emergency maintenance/repairs including but not limited to the following:Install expendables in different types of water treatment components (Cartridge filters, Ultraviolet (UV systems), reverse osmosis membranes etc.)Removal and reloading of media from vessels for a number of different water treatment medias (activated Carbon, sand, softening resin)Reverse Osmosis and Electro-deionization (EDI) system cleaning & sanitizationsCalibrations of pressure, flow, conductivity instrumentationTroubleshooting & repair of malfunctioning water treatment systemsProvide thorough documentation of all work, parts, and time in accordance with both Pureflow and customer specific standard operating proceduresCommunicate effectively with customers, service and engineering team members regarding service contract issues, breakdowns or system design issuesJob Requirements:Required:Associates or Bachelors' degree in mechanical, electrical or engineering fieldComfort with verbal and telephone communication, with internal and external customersSelf-motivated, results-oriented, organized, energetic & capable of staying cool under pressure from multiple ongoing projectsFluent computer & technology skills (Microsoft Office suite, internet browsing, smart phone & tablet familiarity)Preferred:3+ years of mechanical or electrical industry experienceInstrumentation, controls or electrical experience/aptitudeReading and interpreting blueprints, piping & instrumentation drawings, or electrical diagramsKnowledge of proper use of hand and power toolsCapable of obtaining commercial driver's license (CDL) within 6 months of hireStrong manual dexterity and mechanical skillsTravel:75% Local and out of state travelFrequent overnight travel, often with short notice, including drive times to site (up to 6 hours)Physical Requirements/Working Environment:Majority of work is performed in industrial settings inside customer manufacturing facilitiesRegular on call rotation assignmentsAdaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions, etc.)Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. without physical restrictionsFrequent walking in a large production facilityCapable of bending, climbing, stooping, and standing for long periods of time on concreteMust be able to pass a post-offer/pre-placement drug screen, background check, and job-related physical abilities testBenefits:401(k)and 401(k) matching up to 4%Medical insuranceDental insuranceVision insuranceHealth savings accountEmployee assistance programLife insuranceGenerous paid time off that increases with tenureReferral bonus programTuition and professional development reimbursementSchedule:10 hour day shiftMonday to FridayOvertimeJob Type: Full-time, In-personAbility to Relocate:Clarksburg, MD 20871: Relocate before starting work (Required)Pureflow is an equal-opportunity employer, including disability and veterans.
