Local Unit & Position DescriptionDNV - Energy Systems unit is seeking an Outreach Manager to be part of or Program Development and Implementation (PDI) group. The Outreach Manager is responsible for leading a team of Outreach professionals in the delivery of education and project capture for the utility Energy Efficiency Program in New Jersey. This position is responsible for planning outreach strategies and tactics and ultimately delivering on gas and electric energy savings targets while ensuring that Commercial, Industrial and Small Business customers are satisfied with their experience in the program.The position is based out of our Newark, New Jersey office.The successful candidate for this position will have strong existing connections in the New jersey Commercial and Industrial market and can lead a team in identifying energy efficiency opportunities and building customer and trade ally relationships. This candidate will be confident and experienced in providing input and feedback into energy efficiency marketing efforts and work collaboratively with our utility client and internal program managers to deliver on targets. What You''ll Do Actively manage, mentor, and measure the EE outreach team''s performance in alignment with the programs KPI''s (Key Performance Indicators) and in collaboration with Program leads Successfully and professionally oversee the customer, trade ally and distributor engagement and recruitment process for the program in accordance with company systems and policies Responsible for energy efficiency project forecasting and planning in an effective manner by: Consistently building and delivering an accurate opportunity pipeline Assisting with executing short and long-range customer recruitment and marketing plans Writing / executing sales plans and collaborating with program marketing teams Providing management support for marketing/sales meetings and events conducted by junior outreach professionals Understanding distributor and manufacturer business models and the relationship with trade allies Actively engage with the Outreach team and other colleagues, sharing knowledge and ideas in support of innovation and customer success Support and promote established relationships with industry and solution partners to maximize energy efficiency project implementation and sustain a robust pipeline in excess of minimum program participation goals Oversee the team''s use of the CRM tool to manage and record all stages of the energy efficiency project implementation cycle Other sales and business development activities as required, in support of program strategies and goalsPosition QualificationsWhat is Required Associates in Business or Technical field or 7+ years'' experience in sales, account management, or similar Minimum 3 years of experience working with energy efficiency or energy efficient products with a utility, government, non-profit or public agency Proven experience leading a team and successfully meeting KPIs Proven track record of translating technical messages for diverse audiences Field knowledge of New Jersey market Strong Communication skills (both written & verbal)Solid understanding of lead management tools and processes, intermediate excel skills including, pivot tables, simple look ups and graphing, working knowledge of MS Word and PowerPoint templates Willingness and ability to travel, primarily by car throughout the NJ service territory approximately 15% of the time Valid driver''s license We conduct pre-employment drug and background screeningWhat is Preferred Bachelor''s degree in engineering, architecture, or equivalent Certifications or Accreditations in Commercial or Industrial Energy Efficiency is highly desired.
