PD Endoscopy Technician Req : 0000046523 Category: Certified Nursing Assistant / Nurse Aide Status: Per Diem Shift: Day Facility: Jersey City Medical Center Location: Endoscopy Room, 355 Grand Street, Jersey City, NJ 07302 Job Description Perform standard carotid vascular studies, venous studies, arterial studies, renal studies, and TCD. Perform other necessary test protocols and deemed by physician. Communicate well with patients, visitors and co-workers, respecting confidentiality. Maintain rooms adequately stocked and maintenance of equipment. Observe practices consistent with infection control policies. Ensure continual quality improvement of patient services.Uses an understanding of the principles of growth and development to assess each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care. Obtains and records insurance and demographic information for billing purposes. Requires the ability to position patients for optimum technical results. Additional Requirements Graduate of an accredited Vascular Ultrasound program. Minimum one year of experience in a vascular laboratory. Must be registered (RVT or RVS). Knowledgeable in all testing performed in vascular laboratory as required. CPR certified. Must have 2-3 years of interventional cardiac and EP scrub/monitor experience ACLS certified, CV cert. preferred.
