In this role, the successful candidate Supports the Transplant Institute through provision of administrative tasks such as answering patient phone calls, scheduling testing, and correspondence for patients and referring providers, and other administrative duties as assigned.Job Responsibilities:Demonstrates knowledge of the organization''s Service Standards and incorporates them into the performance of duties.Performs any and all other administrative duties assigned.Reviews and coordinates patient testing and tracks progress in EPIC checklist, synthesize results and reports to transplant coordinators, follows up with patients regarding missing dependently answers clinical questions from patients, donors and referring providers.Provides patient education about the transplant and living donation process and what to expect from the transplant center to patients, living donors and families.Provides referring physicians and dialysis units about patients'' progress in the transplant system via letters, phone calls, emails, or other forms of collaboration with transplant coordinator, facilitate work up for patient on the kidney transplant wait list.Runs EPIC reports of patients requiring follow up and blood work.Performs initial donor screening for potential donors.Assists the Living Donor Coordinator with: Presentation for our committee by navigating EPIC and potential donor charts during living donor patient selection meetings Obtaining donor evaluation testing to complete chart for presentation with committee Completes Rogosin lab requisition forms for ABO and Cross Matching for potential donors Sending out cross match kits; when needed Return to work letters for donors Ensuring medical supplies are stocked and not expired Recovers HLA and Cross match reports from Rogosin for our potential donorsAssists with donor clinic flow by ensuring that our living donor team consults our donors in timely and organized fashion.Takes vitals for all donors and potential recipients during clinic.Maintains contact with donors before and after living donor evaluation to ensure that all necessary testing and consultations are completed.Schedules all post donors for their one week, 6 month, 1 year and 2 year follow-up appointments.Enters all necessary testing orders in EPIC; for doctors to review and sign.Schedules all donor evaluation appointments; including all necessary pre-screening tests at NYU and outside facilities too.Corrects/Modifies all living donor guarantor accounts; when needed.Obtains all demographics and ensures that all potential donors have the NYU Transplant Corporate account for billing.Creates all donor medical records in EPIC and ensures that the intended recipient is linked to donor.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Bachelor''s degree required with 0-1 years relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor''s degree required with 0-1 years relevant experience.Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work.
