Join our client as a Medicaid Billing Specialist in the heart of New York City. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a positive work environment and make a real impact in healthcare billing. The role is 100% onsite, Monday to Friday, with flexible working hours.Location: New York City (Onsite)Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm OR 9am-5:30pmDuration: Contract Responsibilities:Submit Medicaid, Medicare, and insurance claims accurately and promptlyCollaborate with clinics to ensure completeness of claim documentsProvide monthly billing status reports to managementReview and appeal unpaid claims, ensuring accuracy and complianceCommunicate with pay sources regarding claim status and payment discrepanciesHandle weekly denial and unbilled claims summariesUnderstand and adhere to Medicaid and Commercial claims regulations and proceduresUndertake special projects as assignedRequired Skills:Hospital billing expertise with knowledge of UB04 claimsProficiency in Medicaid billing proceduresStrong interpersonal and adaptability skills for a diverse work environmentExceptional attendance record, as this role is crucial for weekly billingExperience reading and correcting X12 (837) claims filesFamiliarity with UB04/HCFA1500 formsKnowledge of Medicaid, Medicare, and MCO'sExcellent mathematical, analytical, and PC skills, including Excel and WordAbility to multitask, meet deadlines, and work cooperatively with othersPrevious medical billing experience is a mustBenefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
