Job Description: Project Description: Under the supervision of a Senior Director, Project Chief Executive Officer( 'PCEO), assist with Station's Capital Program ProjectsDescription of Work:Under managerial direction, the selected candidate(s) will provide field support with an emphasison work performed by a third-party contractor during construction and design, including thefollowing:Ensure work complies with contract plete all required documents related to contracts.Support the inspection and quality control/quality assurance furnishing and installing of allmaterial and equipment during spect communication construction projects, monitoring 3 and coordinating several types ofproject activities.Support project managers during construction and design.Work with Resident Engineer in meeting the project goals.Support Project Manager Consultant ( 'PMC) / Consultant Construction Manager ( 'CCM).Attend project coordination meetings with stakeholders, prepare meeting minutes and followup on action items.Ensure all personnel, comply with safety requirements of the contract.Prepare reports regularly and in a timely manner, including, but not limited to:o Daily reports.o Quality and safety check lists.o Field condition survey reports.o Field Sketches,o Scopes of work for change orders, estimates, additional work order packages;ando Other report as required by the Construction Manager/PCEO.Prepare, submit, and coordinate necessary requests for railroad-supply services, such asflagging, access & protection, etc.Supervise employees and manage project budget, schedules, and construction activities.The Consultant shall provide safety shoes, at no cost to MTA, which meets NYCT guidelinesand specifications when participating in any activities located on the track or wayside.The Consultant shall become familiar with and follow NYCT Guidelines the Procedures asapplicable. Education Requirement: Qualifications Requirements:A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in Electrical Engineering.A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six years' experience; orA four-year high school diploma or its equivalent plus any combination of college educationand/or experience to make up the equivalent of six years education and experience. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Experience Requirements:APM II - Minimum of 5 years of full-time experience in performing project management work such asplanning, administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting for a large and/or complexprojects.APM II - 5-7 years of full-time experience in performing project management work such as planning,administering, managing, coordinating, or expediting for a large and/or complex projects.At least two years of experience in supervisory capacity or as a project manager for a large orcomplex anize project information, prepare reports and presentations, and interact/communicatewith contractors and other New York City Transit ( 'NYCT') departments.Knowledge and/or experience with capital construction procedures and field operations.Knowledge and/or experience with construction scheduling and estimating.The ability to coordinate with a multitude of users such as operations and engineeringpersonnel.Licensing & Certification Requirements:30-Hour Office of Safety Health Administration Certification and eight-hours Lead AwarenessCourse are required.Must pass a one-day NYCT Track Safety & prior to participating any in work Capital Programprojects.Special Skills/Training Requirements:Ability to read and interpret Contract drawings & specifications.Knowledge of applicable NYCT codes and standards preferred.Proficient in MS Word, Access, and Excel. Computer Aided Design & Drafting ( 'CADD)experience, municates effectively with excellent written and verbal depth knowledge and/or experience with NYCT operations and mass transit facilitiespreferable. Hours: Normal Work Week: Monday- Friday, Weekend/night shift may also be required to support theGeneral Orders or inspections.No. of' Paid Hours Per Week: 40 Hours (OT as needed)(MTA Construction & Development does not pay for lunch hour)Hours of Work: 8:00 AM 4:30 PM (8 hours + hour unpaid lunch)Technical function 70%, Administrative function - 30%.Field location 70%, Office location - 30%Right-of-Way work is required as necessary.
