In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for creating and implementing training programs enabling workers to excel in their jobs. Identifies and addresses skills gaps, sets performance metrics, evaluates productivity, and helps workers create long-term career plans within our organization. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance, and recognize performance.Job Responsibilities:Develops, implements, and monitors training programs for the Facilities Operation department.Manages training resources such as training consultants, contractors, training companies, and other training resources required to achieve training program goals.Responsible for the development and personally delivering of training for all Facilities Operations employees including new hires.Evaluates a wide range of operational performance indicators and make recommendations for addressing areas requiring improvement.Works with Facilities Operations management to develop and keep up to date skills matrixes for all staff positions.Evaluates needs of our department, worker skills gaps, and plans training programs accordingly to improve overall performance.Develops and monitors spending against the departmental budget.Obtains and/or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media.Trains and coaches managers, supervisors and others involved in employee development efforts.Plans, organizes, facilitates and orders supplies for employee development and training events.Develops and maintains organizational communications such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources as well as departmental news.Evaluates workflows, work processes, and employee responsibilities and develops effective and measurable training programs.Conducts follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.Modifies programs as needed.Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.Create brochures and training materials.Develop multimedia visual aids and presentations.Create testing and evaluation processes.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in relevant fieldFive years training experienceComputer proficiency with MS Office and Outlook email and calendarStrong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including detailed report writing and presentation development.Preferred Qualifications:Engineering or facilities management degreeCertified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) credential from the Association of Talent Development or equivalentQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $73,770.80 - $122,951.34 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
