Position Title: Assistant DirectorWork Location: KINGS COUNTY HOSPITAL - NYC Proposed Start Date: 08/01/2022Proposed End Date: 01/28/2023Convert to Fulltime Employee Possible? - YesCovid-19 Vaccinations are required for this role and all onsite, hybrid, or remote HHC roles.Description:Incumbent will work in a role at Kings County to oversee the telephone operators and all Telecommunications services at Kings County, ENY, Susan B Mc Kinney and all Brooklyn associated clinics.We need at Kings County Telecommunications management and support.Principal Duties:• Maintain a perpetual inventory of telecommunications equipment, hardware, software and circuits related to the Telephony systems, Pagers and Smartphones• Responsible for procurement, configuration, and deployment of Mobile telecom devices toinclude item, such as Apple iPhones, Galaxy Smartphones, Mifi''s Pagers and Air Cards• Verify and ensure all Hospital telephone equipment location records, extension assignments, type of instruments, class of service, repair records, system data servers, and the telecommunications database are maintained correctly and accurately• Manage telecommunications fund control points and processes and verifies the accuracy of themonthly telecommunication invoices• Oversee the supervision, planning and delivery of system support services, includingtroubleshooting, customer assistance, and/or training, in response to customer requirements• Creates and plans the work to be accomplished by EITS Telecommunications support staff, Telecom vendors and/or team• Responsible for the Telecommunications Infrastructure and supportingsystems/components at the Hospital to include continuous monitoring and analysis of thetelecommunications Infrastructure to ensure a maximum performance and availability• Responsible for vendor root cause analysis reports, vendor Zero Usage reports, PBX third party applications inventory• Prepares EITS weekly summary reports, staff assignment updates and staff reviews• Responsible for emergency phones and business continuity re-direct services• Reviews existing voice and data configurations within elements of the medical center and makesrecommendations and/or changes to improve the. efficiency and effectiveness of the system''s serviceMinimum Qualifications:As an Assistant Director, under direction, serve as a consultant and resource to departmental leadership in the development, execution, and management of a wide variety of essential unit/departmental services and related administrative functions. Participate in the development of new programs, systems and/or procedures and monitor their functioning and effectiveness. Contribute to continuous operational improvements and compliance activities.General Tasks and Responsibilities Will Include:• Provide a wide range of advisory and technical services to departmental leadership in support of critical unit/departmental services.• Assist in the administrative management of specified functions and initiatives, including the interpretation of relevant policies and procedures.• Contribute to the development of new programs, systems and/or procedures and ensure the successful functioning and efficiency of such.• Plan, develop and conduct diverse research studies and analyze gathered data to developrecommendations for leadership.• Conduct special projects based on operational needs. Develop short and long-range plans to meet project requirements and establish implementation criteria.• Monitor budgets and expenses of designated unit/department and/or projects.• Conduct analysis of internal policies, procedures, and systems in comparison to governing regulatoryrequirements; highlight potential risks to assist leadership in ensuring corporate compliance.• Collaborate with departmental leadership and inter-disciplinary teams to recommend practical tools,processes and practices that support developing effective solutions to operational issues.• Represent unit/departmental leadership on various internal and external task committees, work groups, forums or related.• Coordinate, plan, direct, evaluate and monitor the work of staff in support of assigned responsibilities or special projects.Educational Level:• A Master''s Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, or Business Administration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior or a related field and three years of full-time experience planning, developing and monitoring programs, systems and/or procedures in support of administrative management initiatives, one year of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, orBusiness Administration, Psychology or a related discipline and four years of full-time experience asoutlined above, two years of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or• A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience.Years of Experience:• A Master''s Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, or BusinessAdministration, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Behavior or a related field and three years of full-time experience planning, developing and monitoring programs, systems and/or procedures in support of administrative management initiatives, one year of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or• A Baccalaureate Degree from an accredited college or university in Healthcare, Hospital, Public, orBusiness Administration, Psychology or a related discipline and four years of full-time experience asoutlined above, two years of which must have been in a responsible managerial or supervisory capacity; or• A satisfactory combination of education, training, and experience. - provided by Dice
