Job Title: Windows System Administrator Job Code: 9847 Job Location: Clifton, NJ Job Schedule: 9/80: Employees work 9 out of every 14 days - totaling 80 hours worked - and have every other Friday off Job Description: This is a Windows System Administrator position that requires a strong proficiency managing IT projects, and physical network cable systems. Key responsibilities include designing, building, and maintaining Engineering lab environments and managing IT projects. Must possess a broad Windows background to support engineering and administrative networks spanning multiple sites. The role encapsulates the following focus areas: + MS Windows Server & Workstation OS + Citrix Virtual Apps & Desktops + Manage Engine Endpoint Central or other endpoint management tool. + Nutanix, VMWare vCenter & vSphere + Microsoft Exchange, Skype for Business Server + CommVault Essential Functions: + Provide system administration and support for physical and virtual machines for multiple Windows Server/Workstation variants and virtualization technologies + Build, configure, and troubleshoot networks, AD domains, and virtual desktop infrastructures (VDI) with an emphasis in supporting Citrix environments hosted on VMWare hypervisor + Utilize endpoint management tool to manage and standardize computing environments by building and deploying SCCM applications/packages, OS deployments, and configuring server/workstation baselines + Support ICD 503 Risk Mitigation Framework (RMF) processes by patching, hardening, and/or upgrading systems as appropriate + Provide level 45 Windows OS server support on Microsoft domain networks + Support local and sever based engineering applications + Coordinate with IT Security as needed to identify, document, and resolve system vulnerabilities + Develop and promote positive end-user relationships through prompt support and resolution of IT issues + Track work orders and end user support tickets through resolution and closure + Strong willingness to keep current and learn new technologies to support future growth + Ability to support limited travel + Ability to work on-call and limited weekends as required + Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a Secret Clearance Qualifications: + Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience + 4 years of experience managing Microsoft Windows 2016+ Microsoft Windows servers + 4 years of experience implementing DoD Information Security Requirements (STIG, ICD503, etc.) Preferred Additional Skills: + CompTIA Security + + Microsoft Server Certifications + Project budgeting, purchasing, cost reduction, team management, problem resolution skills + Proficiency in advanced VMware and Citrix Administration, Project Management and Workflow planning + CISSP or equivalent Cyber Security Certification + Linux System administration knowledge and proficiency is a plus + Network administration knowledge and proficiency L3Harris Technologies is proud to be an Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer.
