In this role, the successful Lead Network Engineer is responsible for engineering design, implementation and operationalizing best practices around our data network technology platforms. Develops detailed systems design documentation to support implementation and operation of enterprise network systems. The Lead Network Engineer partners with Architecture, Applications and IT Security teams to align various network solutions to meet our application and business needs to support our clinical, administrative, education and research staff. This includes performing assessments and be the liaison with key strategic partners/vendors to ensure that these platforms are maintained and always within accepted vendor guidelines to keep the technology debt at agreed upon levels. This role will provide technical leadership to network engineering and operations teams to provide network infrastructure solutions using the latest technologies available. The individual should be comfortable working across all of NYU Langone Health's business units to implement, enhance and maintain applications delivery. This individual will leverage the latest recognized technologies and processes and will execute a multi-year roadmap to deliver these services.Job Responsibilities:Increase the effectiveness of NYU Langone Health Network Systems platforms by building strategies and delivering value: Ensure continuous focus on improvement of our Network platforms based on latest technologies to develop a roadmap for a collaborative scalable organizationWork closely with MCIT architects to formulate strategies on how Network platforms can improve our enterprise applications delivery performance.Develop network systems access solutions to support enterprise security policies.Perform proactive capacity planning reviews of network systems resources to support the continuous growth of the Medical Center.Assess the latest market trends and evaluate how they may be incorporated into our strategy to improve the enterprise network systems municate effectively within and across multiple teams including vendors as required.Provide technical leadership and increase collaboration levels within the organization:Provide leadership across the function, while driving strategic improvements, building technical capability and developing talent.Drive a culture of continuous improvement that proactively manages resolution of serious and complex problems, identifying underlying causes and performing corrective action appropriately Help define and deliver strategies and solutions for Network platforms transformation, including the vision, roadmap and governance modelImplement an overarching strategy, and framework rein in emerging technologies, optimize capital and operating costs and provide new and enhanced customer experiences for employees and clients.Provide the rapid integration of emerging technologies and innovation, allowing our internal/external applications to access their data securely anywhere and anytime.Minimum Qualifications:To qualify you must have a Typically requires 7 or more years of experience and BA/BS degree or equivalentPreferred Qualifications:NoneQualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.NYU Langone Health provides its staff with far more than just a place to work. The salary range for the role is $110,479.19 - $141,773.81 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
