Headquartered in Los Angeles, California with over 100 offices and more than 80 correspondent broker/dealers, our commitment to providing relentless, customized service is the foundation of our consistent growth.We are seeking an experienced Application Development Technology Manager - Data in our New York City office.Responsibilities: Responsible for leading technology development and delivery for the data and analytics platform Partner with the business leadership to capture business opportunities and support execution of technology programs Develop and execute plans to modernize and develop the data platform Build and lead high performing technology teams that will drive successful implementation of programs Drive efficiency of technology teams through adoption of agile, DevOps and best practices Build effective, automated solutions using modern technology on the specified platform Implement and enforce best practices for code quality, testing, and documentation. Streamline platforms and solutions for internal and external clients Lead the team and manage projects for successful delivery Help in managing the budget for the teams Perform other duties as required and assigned Experience and Skills Bachelor's Degree from an accredited University, preferably in Engineering or Information Technology, or other related fields 15+ years of related experience in financial technology space Knowledge and experience around Financial Services businesses operations Experience with PostgreSQL, Azure Fabric/PowerBI/OneLake/Synapse, Kafka and Azure Cloud preferred Knowledge of the software development life cycle (SDLC) and working with offshore teams Experience with the concept of DevOps and familiar with DevOps tools such as JIRA Experience in Agile SCRUM/Kanban software development methodology (Preferred) Excellent communication and customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across various departments and levels of the organization. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills Highly organized and able to multi-task and manage multiple projects and competing priorities without sacrificing accuracy or efficiency Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization What We Offer Wedbush Securities offers robust benefits to our colleagues.
